Domestic violence suspect returns to Massachusetts
FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) — A Rhode Island man who skipped a July court appearance on domestic violence allegations in Massachusetts has been returned to the state to face the charges.
The Bristol district attorney’s office says 53-year-old Brian Jagielski, of Tiverton, is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Fall River.
Prosecutors allege he choked his girlfriend multiple times in January, took her to a state forest against her will and threatened to bury her there, and held a piece of broken glass to her throat and threatened to kill her.
He made bail and was scheduled to be arraigned on July 16, but did not appear.
He was arrested at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport on Sept. 27 after arriving on a flight from Mexico.
It could not be determined if he has an attorney.
