One dead, one in custody in fatal South Side shooting
A woman was killed during a fight with her sister-in-law Thursday afternoon on the South Side.
San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said the women were physically fighting in the front yard at about 4 p.m. in the 1000 block of Grand River Drive.

The woman went inside her residence and was followed by her sister-in-law, police said.
When the sister-in-law refused to leave, the woman grabbed a gun that she had in her house and fatally shot her in the doorway.
The sister-in-law, 44, was pronounced dead moments after officers arrived, according to police.

The alleged shooter, 39, is in custody, the chief said.
McManus said the incident may be a case of self-defense, but detectives are still investigating.
Three children were inside the home when the shooting occurred, McManus said. Two others were sitting in a trailer outside the home.
