Cold wax painting workshop to be held Saturday

SCOTTSBLUFF — With the support of the Nebraska Arts Council and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment, West Nebraska Arts Center will present a new workshop titled “Cold Wax Painting” open to anyone interested.

Under the instruction of Traci Wilkes, this session will be in the downstairs classroom at WNAC on Saturday, April 20, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The class is designed to introduce the medium of cold wax in its many forms of capability.

This class is for those who are intrigued in cold wax art. Attendees will use oil paint mixed with cold wax medium to create abstract art that is layered with paint. We are going to work with color, shapes, texture and mark- making.

Wilkes is an abstract painter and mixed media artist living in Scottsbluff Nebraska with her husband and three cats.
