Seaberg to be inducted into DHS Sports Hall of Fame
Robert Seaberg is the 2017 inductee into the Dayton High School Sports Hall of Fame.
Seaberg is a 1963 graduate of Dayton High School where he was vice president of the National Honor Society his senior year and graduated seventh in his class. He was a three-year letterman in football where he started at running back all three of those years, including the 1961 Bronco Regional Championship team. Seaberg earned All-District honors as a running back his junior and senior years.
Track was another area where he was successful, winning multiple district championships in the 100 and the 220 during his high school career. His senior year, he was high point man at the district meet.
After graduation, Robert went to SMU and later UT Dental School and has been practicing dentistry in Dayton ever since.
When informed of his selection, Seaberg was very humble, thinking that there was probably some better choice out there, but the Hall of Fame board is confident in its choice.
“He is a man of high standards, integrity, and a man of faith. We congratulate inductee Dr. Robert Seaberg,” the board’s statement reads.
