Habitat for Humanity hosts MU wall build
HUNTINGTON — Huntington WV Area Habitat for Humanity will host a wall build on the Memorial Student Center Plaza at Marshall University on Monday, Nov. 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Students who are at least 18 years old may help build the wall framework of the future Habitat home of Pam Hunt. There will also be “blessing boards” available for students to send messages of encouragement to the newest Habitat homebuyer. Representatives from the Marshall University Habitat Campus Chapter will be on hand to recruit new members as well.
The wall frames will be transported to 59 29th St. on Wednesday, Dec. 5, for a wall raising at 10 a.m. Several churches and businesses from the Highlawn neighborhood raised money to fund the construction of the home and will be there to celebrate alongside Ms. Hunt.
