Cyrus Charity Announces Gifts
GREENUP, Ky. (AP) _ The Billy Ray Cyrus Charities Foundation announced gifts totaling $10,650 this year.
Each December, the charity founded by Cyrus, a Flatwoods native, makes donations to individuals and organizations that help underprivileged children. The announcement was made Tuesday.
Cyrus said $3,900 would go to local projects. With money going to programs in Nashville, Tenn., and California this year, Cyrus said the foundation is now helping children ``all over the United States.″
The 40-year-old singer-actor’s hits include ``Achy Breaky Heart.″
He stars on the PAX network series ``Doc.″
