Sharon Lynn Cassidy of Kenova

SHARON LYNN CASSIDY, 74, of Kenova, W.Va., went to be with the Lord surrounded by family Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral service was 2 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2018, at Rollins Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Mullens officiating. Interment followed in Hillcrest Cemetery. Sharon was born January 25, 1944, in Portland, Oregon, a daughter of the late Rayburn Taze and Elsie Allen Dingess. She was a 1962 graduate of Ceredo-Kenova High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Ray Cassidy, and brother-in-law, John Milton Cassidy. She married the love of her life, Samuel Joseph Cassidy. Together they had three boys, Samuel Joseph (Sara Shertzer), Jason Rayburn (Laura Parks) and Jared Dane (Jodi); the following grandchildren, John Milton, Hannah Lynn, Elizabeth Rose, Abigail McGuire, Jason Nathaniel (Hannah) and Samantha Lynn; a great-grandchild, Londyn Cassidy Sager. She leaves a sister, Robin Thomas (Mike) of Huntington; sister-in-law, Lynn Cassidy of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and stepfather, Jerry Pierce (Pat); the following nieces and nephews, John Michael Cassidy, Julie Cassidy Thompson, Taze Thomas, Michael Thomas, Jacob Dingess, Jodi Dingess and Shawn Dingess. She dedicated her life to raising her beloved boys and doting on her grandchildren. Visitation was from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2018, at Rollins Funeral Home, Kenova.
