Chance for severe storms in parts of Pennsylvania

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) — Forecasters say people need to be alert for the chance for some severe storms in parts of Pennsylvania.

The National Weather Service says severe thunderstorms packing damaging winds and hail are possible in the central part of the state on Thursday. Forecasters say scattered supercell storms could also bring the possibility of a few tornadoes.

Some thunderstorms could be severe in the eastern and western parts of the state.
