Authorites offer reward for capture of grinning Cleveland bank robbery suspect

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The FBI and city police are searching for a man who robbed a Cleveland bank on Friday.

The robbery happened about 10:50 a.m. at the PNC Bank on Chester Avenue near East 40th Street in the city’s Goodrich-Kirtland Park neighborhood, according to Cleveland FBI spokeswoman Vicki Anderson.

The man demanded money from a bank teller and said that he was carrying a weapon, but no weapon was seen, Anderson said.

The teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the man ran off, Anderson said.

Anyone with information on the man’s identity should contact the FBI or Cleveland police. A reward is being offered and tipsters can remain anonymous, Anderson said.
