Bids sought for sewer system lift station at Davis Camp
KINGMAN — Mohave County is going out for bids for a contractor to install a new sewer system lift station at Davis Camp park.
The county is seeking a company to install the sanitary sewer lift station and decommission the old station while keeping the park operational. A lift station pumps wastewater to a higher elevation. The contractor must complete the work within 60 days.
Interested firms have until Wednesday to submit their bids to the county procurement department. Davis Camp is at 2251 Highway 68 in Bullhead City, north of the Laughlin Bridge.
The county also is going out for bids for a 2017 or 2018 full-size cargo van and two mid-size passenger vans for the county library facilities maintenance operation. Interested firms have until Friday to submit their bids to the county procurement department.
The county is evaluating bids from three companies to install and operate permanent and temporary Automatic Vehicle Counter Classifiers. The counters would provide year-long data to understand seasonal and time of week changes in traffic operations.
The solar-powered counters are used for vehicle count, speed and vehicle classification such as passenger vehicles, buses and tractor-trailer trucks. There are six permanent traffic counters located throughout the county. The counters average about $5,000 each.
