Reader Recipe: Colonial Pumpkin Pie

1 1/2 C. canned or cooked pumpkin

1 C. brown sugar; firmly packed

1/2 tsp. salt

1/8 tsp. all spice

1 tsp. cinnamon

2 Tbsp. molasses

1 tsp. ginger

3 eggs; slightly beaten

1 C. evaporated milk

Combine pumpkin, sugar, salt, spices, molasses and mix well. Add milk and eggs. Pour mixture into an unbaked pie shell. Bake at 450 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes or until done when an inserted knife comes out clean.
