LEOMINSTER -- Givensky Pierre-Louis led the Leominster boys’ basketball team with 17 points in Thursday’s 79-66 loss at home against Mid-Wach A foe Algonquin Regional.

Leominster (8-6) also got great efforts from J.P. Paulino (15 points) and Janier Cora-Huertas (11 points) in defeat. Alex Karaban scored 25 to lead Algonquin.

Lorenzo Colon, Cory Zollo and Tim Chipman scored nine points apiece to pace Gardner (6-10) in defeat. Ross Cotnam scored 19 and hit five 3-pointers to lead Littleton (9-7).

Kyle Blaisdell scored 14 points for lead North Middlesex (0-15). Bromfield (8-7) was led by Patrick Flanagan’s game-high 17 points.

Emma Auger scored 10 points for Fitchburg, while teammate Rachel Romero chipped in with seven and Siena Armano added four. Next up, the Red Raiders (1-14) will host Shrewsbury on Tuesday. Celine Al-Nammari had 14 points for Marlboro (11-3).

Rachel Klock scored 12 points to pace Littleton (6-8), while Payton Fitzsimmons led Gardner (3-11) with nine points.

North Middlesex 51

Strong defense and a balanced scoring attack lifted the Patriots, who received 11 points from Alex Bellemare and seven points from Rae Callahan. Erin Bourgeois, Molly McFague and Allie Vazquez netted six points each in the win.
