MACON, Ga. (AP) — A law school is teaming up with the Georgia Bar Association to commemorate the centennial of the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote.

The Telegraph reports that the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University and the bar association are working to mark the occasion.

A traveling exhibit is on display at the law school through Nov. 23. Mercer says the exhibit chronicles the history of the women’s suffrage movement and efforts to expand voting rights. It also looks ahead to voter suppression today.

A panel discussion celebrating 100 years of women at Mercer’s law school is also planned for Nov. 21 at the Douglass Theatre in Macon.
