Restaurant shuts doors due to lack of employees
PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) — A New Hampshire restaurant has closed its doors, saying it didn’t have enough workers to stay open.
Portsmouth’s 900 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria was the third restaurant for owner Priscilla Lane-Rondeau. WMUR-TV reports she says she did a job fair for the restaurant where only three people showed up.
Lane-Rondeau says she had a dining room of 45 people and maybe one or two servers to help them most nights.
Just six months after opening in May, the Portsmouth location closed on Monday.
Lane-Rondeau says she’s read up on the issue and says there may be more restaurant jobs than there are people to fill them.
