2 pedestrians struck, 1 dies in early morning accident
SEEKONK, Mass. (AP) — A man has died after being struck by a vehicle in Seekonk, Massachusetts.
Police and emergency medical responders were called shortly after midnight on Sunday morning for a report of two pedestrians struck on Oak Hill Avenue. One man was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say the second man refused to be transported to a hospital from the scene and later sought medical treatment on his own.
No charges have been filed in the case. Police say the driver of the vehicle is cooperating with investigators.
The identities of those involved in the incident have not yet been released.
