OFFSHORE DRILLING BAN:
State legislators from eight states are announcing a united effort to protect their states from offshore drilling. The states are Georgia, Hawaii, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Oregon, and Rhode Island. By Patrick Whittle.
_ HOUSE FIRE-FATALITY: Police have identified a woman who died after being rescued from a house fire in Torrington. Fire officials say 68-year-old Donna Needham died Friday from injuries suffered in the Thursday fire at the home she shared with her husband.
