Hear report on future uses for century-old Kendallville school

December 7, 2016 GMT

The Historic KHS Feasibility Study Task Force will share its report on the former Kendallville High School building with the public Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Kendallville Public Library.

The 28-page report presents possibilities for preservation and repurposing of the century-old building, now East Noble Middle School, after it is vacated in 2018. The study report includes possible uses for various areas of the building, funding resources, key community partnerships, current site analysis and future concepts for the property.

Task force members will give a brief explanation of why the group was formed and took on the task of the feasibility study. Architect Zachary Benedict of MKM Architecture + Design of Fort Wayne will present a slide show of the report’s highlights.

Copies of the report will be available at the meeting.
