Wesley’s Table Food Pantry at Wesley United Methodist Church, 500 N. Cleveland St. in Bradley, will be opening it’s food pantry every Sunday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. for Bradley and Bourbonnais residents.

Global missionaries to visit Westbrook

Susan and Jeffery Myers, global missionaries for the Church of the Nazarene, serving in Papua, New Guinea, will speak at the Westbrook Church of the Nazarene, 900 W. Jeffery St. in Kankakee, at 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Susan serves as a physician at the Nazarene Hospital, and Jeffery as an administrator over the churches.

Redeeming Life Ministries revival

Pastor James Carr, of Redeeming Life Ministries, at 1284 S. Fourth Ave. in Kankakee, announced the church is having a revival at 6:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

The evangelist will be Apostle Rodell Wofford, of Little Rock, Ark. All are welcome.

Mt. Calvary MB Church

Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church’s Women’s Ministry is hosting its annual Women’s Luncheon at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Sun River Terrace Community Center.

The Sunday worship will be at 11 a.m., and the speaker will be Donterria Jackson, of the Kingdom Living Full Gospel of Chicago Heights.

Swiss Steak Supper at Manteno UMC

Manteno United Methodist Church will host its 52nd annual Swiss Steak Supper from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Manteno High School, 443 N. Maple.

The menu will include Swiss steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, green beans, salad bar, dessert and drink. Tickets are $10 for adults and $3 for children ages 6 to 12. Children age 5 and younger are free. Carryouts will be available.

Trunk or Treat at Aroma Park UMC

Aroma Park United Methodist Church invites the community to a Trunk or Treat event from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday.

Children can dress in their Halloween costumes and go from station to station in the fellowship hall to gather sweet treats. There also will be an easy craft to complete and take home. The event is free.

Trunk or Treat at Central Christian Church

Central Christian Church, at 310 Main St. NW (Illinois Route 102) in Bourbonnais, is holding a trunk or treat from 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

There will be decorated trunks and some candy, as well as a spooky hall inside. Children are invited to come dressed in their Halloween costumes. Popcorn, hot chocolate and hot dogs also will be available.

Harvest Revival

Community Church of Holiness presents its Harvest Revival at 7 p.m. both Thursday and Friday, hosted by pastors Margaret and David Crayton. The speaker-revivalist is Apostle Antoine Obery, of Newark, N.J.

Morning Star Baptist Church

Morning Star Baptist Church, 570 N. Harrison Ave. in Kankakee, is holding a Shades of Harvest celebration from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 31.

The event is for children ages 3-12, and is a safe alternative for Halloween. There will be fun, food, games bingo and more.

All are invited. Costumes are welcome (no scary costumes please).

Interfaith Neighborhood Fall Festival

The Interfaith Neighborhood Fall Festival will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Kankakee Civic Auditorium, 803 S. Eighth Ave. in Kankakee.

There will be food, games, a sweet treat walk and a costume party for families of all faiths. There also will be trick-or-treat tables.

The event is sponsored by St. John United Methodist Church, St. John Paul II Catholic Parish, St. Mark United Methodist Church and Trinity United Methodist Church.

Appreciation for Mary Jackson

Asbury UMC selling bread pudding

Asbury United Methodist Church’s Chancel Choir is selling frozen portions of its signature bread pudding. To order, send a check (payable to Asbury Chancel Choir) to Mary Birr, 12 Richard St., Kankakee, IL 60901.

Orders must be placed by Nov. 4. Prices are: $3 per piece; $10 for quarter pan (serves 4); $20 for half pan (serves 8); and, $40 for full pan (serves 12-16).

Orders can be picked up at noon on Dec. 9 at the church, 196 S. Harrison, Kankakee, or the same day at 5 p.m., following the choir’s Joy of Christmas holiday concert which starts at 4 p.m.
