Cozad man and woman arrested after disturbance
A man and woman were charged in Dawson County District Court after the man was stabbed Sunday.
About 1:45 a.m., the Cozad Police Department received the report of “an assault involving weapons,” Cozad Police Chief Mark Montgomery said in a press release.
At the residence in the 200 block of West 10th Street, police found a 29-year-old man on the ground with a knife in his left shoulder. He reported that his wife had stabbed him, Montgomery said.
The woman also sustained injuries in the disturbance, Montgomery said.
Both she and the man were taken to Cozad Community Hospital. The man was later taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, and the woman was taken to the Dawson County Jail.
She was charged with first-degree domestic assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony. The man was charged with third-degree domestic assault, second offense, and strangulation.
