Taste Of Success Fundraiser Postponed Until March 20
Junior Achievement’s Taste of Success fundraiser has been postponed until March 20.
The event, originally scheduled for today, was pushed back due to the threat of inclement weather, organization officials said.
The rescheduled event will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. March 20 at the Junior Achievement facility on Oak Street in Pittston. The event will feature food and drink from 16 different vendors, live music, and items up for silent auction. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased prior to the event or at the door.
“While we hope to raise a lot of money for our student programs, we also want our guests to enjoy the evening,” said Suzanne McCabe, the program and development manager for Junior Achievement. “We have outstanding food and drink, live entertainment, and lots of great prizes. And with Frankie Warren as our MC, it has to be a really fun evening for everyone!”
Junior Achievement is the world’s largest organization dedicated to preparing youth for work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. They provide programs for over 12,000 students annually.
“Our goal is to educate students in the area of financial literacy and responsible decision making when it comes to their careers and future financial decisions,” McCabe said. “This area of education is so important and yet it is not usually given a lot of attention among the other things teachers have to cover in the course of their regular curriculums, so we hope to provide those important lessons to the students who participate in our programs.”
