Man accused of shooting brothers, killing 1, arrested
MOUNT VERNON, Va. (AP) — Police in Virginia say an arrest has been made in the shooting of two brothers that left one of the men dead.
Jeremiah Mouzon, 20, was identified as the suspect and located in Maryland, Fairfax County police said in a statement Thursday. The two brothers were found wounded early Monday morning at a residential home in Mount Vernon, Virginia, news outlets reported.
Jayden Quick, 20, was found fatally shot inside the home, police said.
Kamren Quick, 18, was found outside the home with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital with serious injuries but police say he’s expected to survive.
This was not a random act of violence, according to police. A motive for the shooting hasn’t been announced.
Mouzon will be extradited back to Virginia to face charges of second-degree murder, malicious shooting and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, the release states. He’s been placed in the custody of the Prince George’s Department of Corrections.
It’s unclear whether Mouzon had an attorney who could comment on his behalf.
