Rhein Fire 21, Galaxy 20
DUESSELDORF, Germany (AP) _ Paul Justin’s pass for a two-point conversion with 1:59 remaining was incomplete Sunday as the Frankfurt Galaxy lost 21-20 to Duesseldorf Rhein Fire in a World League of American Football game.
The Galaxy (1-3) trailed 21-0 before Justin brought them back
After Rhein Fire quarterback Gino Torreta fumbled on his own 13-yard-line with 2:12 left to play, Justin hooked up with Mario Bailey to cut Duesseldorf’s lead to 21-20.
Justin, who entered the game as the league’s top-ranked passer, then rolled out to the left as the Galaxy went for the win, but his cross-field pass to Collins fell incomplete.
The Rhein Fire (2-2) got two touchdowns from Ronald Williams, who caught a 32-yard pass from Andy Kelly and ran 1 yard for another score.
