February 6, 2017

Jordan Bohannon scored 15 points to lead four players in double figures and Iowa held on for an 81-70 win over Nebraska yesterday. Brady Ellingson scored eleven points and hit a late three-pointer to help the Hawkeyes secure their third straight win and avenge a double-overtime loss at Nebraska last month. Peter Jok, the Big Ten’s leading scorer, scored twelve points with five rebounds and five assists in 30 minutes in his return to the lineup after missing Iowa’s last two games with back issues. Jack McVeigh scored 16 points to lead three players in double figures for the Huskers, which outrebounded Iowa but made only 3-19 three-pointers. Tai Webster had 14 points, six rebounds and six assists. The senior became the 28th player in Nebraska history to reach the 1,000-point mark. The Huskers drop to 10-13 overall and 4-7 in the Big Ten while the Hawkeyes improve to 14-10 overall and 6-5 in the conference.
