Capparelli’s on Huebner closed again for failure to pay rent
For the second time in a year, the Capparelli’s Pizza & Italian Food location at 8846 Huebner Road has been shuttered by the property’s landlord for failure to pay rent. HMC Management Company posted a sign dated Jan. 15 on the restaurant’s door stating the locks had been changed.
Neither HMC Management Co. or Gina Capparelli, who owns the restaurant, immediately returned calls from the Express-News seeking comment. The restaurant was closed during regular business hours Tuesday.
In late January 2018, the same Capparelli’s location, which has been open for nearly 30 years, was also briefly shuttered for failure to pay rent. The restaurant reopened a day later. There are five other independently owned Capparelli’s locations in San Antonio. None of the other properties were closed during business hours Jan. 15.
