Tewksbury Wins It in Final Minute

Will O’Keefe scored the winning goal with 57 seconds left to play as Tewksbury edged Dracut/Tyngsboro, 4-3, in an MVC/DCL cross-over boys hockey game.

In other MVC/DCL boys hockey action, Lowell and North Andover played to a 1-1 tie.

Kyle Lombardo and Caden Connors assisted on O’Keefe’s game-winning tally.

Jason Cooke, Michael Arsenault and Kyle Morris scored 1 goal each for the Redmen (6-1).

Campbell Pierce and Lombardo had 2 assists apiece, while O’Keefe dished out 1 assist.

Patrick Letourneau (16 saves) earned the win in goal for Tewksbury.

AJ Ciszek paced Dracut/Tyngsboro’s offense with 2 goals.

Kyle McManus also scored for Dracut/Tyngsboro, while Brian Cebula, Dan Warner, Jared DeBruin, Mikey Collett, Jake Callery and Brian Workman tallied 1 assist each.

Preston Wilson made 33 saves in goal.

Lowell 1

North Andover 1

Senior Patrick Cote made 27 saves in goal as Lowell and North Andover skated to a tie in an MVC/DCL cross-over game at the Tsongas Center.

North Andover took a 1-0 lead late in the second period.

Shawn Spring scored the tying goal for Lowell with just over five minutes left to play in the third period. Thomas Hassett and Keegan Cote assisted on Spring’s goal.

Westford 3

Waltham 0

Senior Joe Cornetta made 22 saves while posting the shutout in goal for Westford Academy (3-4).

Freshman Ryan McCarthy opened the scoring for the Grey Ghosts.

Tyler Guillemette’s goal increased the lead to 2-0, and Jason Bunyon’s empty-net tally sealed the victory.

CJ Pacifico, Kevin Egan and Mike Mucci had 1 assist each.

On Monday, freshman goalie Colin Winn made 15 saves as Westford blanked Lexington, 3-0.

Guillemette, Alex Sepe and Kyle Wizst scored the Grey Ghost goals.

Billerica 0

Andover 0

Junior Connor Feeney had a spectacular game in net for Billerica, finishing with 43 saves as the Indians (4-1-2) and Andover played to scoreless tie in an MVC/DCL Division 1 game.

With 15 seconds left to play in the game, Feeney moved post-to-post while making a sprawling glove save on a point-blank shot.

Lowell Catholic 6

Cardinal Spellman 1

Michael Brogdon scored 2 goals and added an assist for Lowell Catholic.

Connor Doherty chipped in offensively with 1 goal and 2 assists.

Freshmen Alex Pescatore and Patrick Drew each nothed their first varsity goal.

Colin Gleason and Cody Lesko combined to make 12 saves in goal.

Chelmsford 1

Acton-Boxboro 0

Senior captain Drew Blodgett made 25 saves in goal as Chelmsford blanked Acton-Boxboro in an MVC/DCL Division 1 game.

Bobby Turner scored the Lions goal in the first period with assists from Ben Pitts and Mike Regan.

Chelmsford improved its record to 4-1-1.
