Local business holds food drive to help School District 25 students

POCATELLO – Petersen Inc. of Pocatello has collected food and will donate it to the Pocatello/Chubbuck School District. They are donating food bags in time for spring break to support the nutritional needs of children during the week they are out of school.

Petersen Inc. employees collected the food, sorted the food into individual bags and will deliver it to the District Office on Tuesday, March 13 at 11 a.m. Secondary Community Resource Worker, Callie Ceci remarked, “This is great example of a business, school partnership to help our students.” The children who will benefit from the project may not otherwise have daily meals while away from school.

The company which is located near the Pocatello Regional Airport anticipates doing a project like this for students several times throughout the school year.
