Soup Supper: The Ladies of St. John’s United Church of Christ will host a soup supper from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Dec.9 in Wetzel Hall, 408 East St. The menu offers Tuscan potato, vegetable, broccoli and bean soups, corn bread hot dogs, ham and cheese salad sandwiches, a variety of desserts. Community Church Christmas Concert: Will be held at 7 p.m. on Dec. 9 at the Carroll County Middle School featuring Carroll County churches. The concert is free, but donations will be accepted for the CCAB scholarship fund. Featured churches will include: Carrollton Christian, English Christian, First Baptist, Pentecostals of Carrollton, Relevant, St. John the Evangelist, United Methodist and Worthville Baptist, as well as the Family Worship Center. Food Giveaway: North Madison Christian Church, 1400 E. State Road 62, will host a free food giveaway from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Dec. 10. Individuals should arrive early to receive a pass. Prayer through the Ages: Smyrna-Monroe Presbyterian Church will host a monthly Bible study on Christian prayer practices through the ages from 10 to 10:45 a.m. on Dec. 11. The discussion will be on icons, and prayer painting and coloring. A pot-luck Christmas party will follow worship and begin at approximately noon. Hanover Food Pantry: The Hanover United Methodist Church food pantry for Hanover and Lexington residents will be open from 9 to 11 a.m. on Dec. 16, instead of on the regularly scheduled fourth Friday. Free Meal: Freedom Life Ministries will serve a free meal from 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 16 at 975 Industrial Drive. For more information, call (812) 799-9190. Jesus Clothes Closet: The Jesus Clothes Closet at Trinity United Methodist Church, 412 W. Main St., is open every Monday from 9 to 11 a.m. with free clothes for infants to adults. Guests should use the church’s Main Street entrance. The store is closed on holidays which fall on a Monday.
