Police log: Suspicious person texting and FaceTiming the caller’s 9-year-old daughter

These logs are the highlights of initial emergency calls and reports to the Douglas County Dispatch Center. They do not represent all of the incidents or their final outcomes.



Douglas County sheriff

12:54 a.m. — Woman is wandering around the park weeping in the 75000 block of U.S. Highway 101, Reedsport. Caller said the woman isn’t dressed for the cold.

10:48 a.m. — Barbecue briquettes wrapped in a paper towel which looks like someone was trying to light it on fire in the 500 block of Chadwick Lane, Myrtle Creek.

5:20 p.m. — Woman who appears to be under the influence is walking in and out of yards near the intersection of First Street and Pacific Avenue, Glendale.

7:06 p.m. — A suspicious person is texting and FaceTiming the caller’s 9-year-old daughter in Umpqua.

7:58 p.m. — Man is in front of the motel and rambling, throwing trash around and being very loud in the 400 block of Bear Creek Road, Curtin.

8:03 p.m. — The tenant’s ex has been using drugs and is now threatening to kill the caller and her tenant and to burn down the house in the 200 block of Shelton Lane, Roseburg.

11:02 p.m. — Male is outside threatening to kick the caller’s door in the 300 block of French Creek Road, Glide.


7:01 a.m. — Female is trying to wave down traffic near a single-vehicle accident near Oakland.

Craig Steven Clow, 48, of Glendale, on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a schedule I controlled substance, methamphetamine possession, marijuana manufacture and a probation violation.

Trae Allen Stuempges, 32, of Myrtle Creek, on suspicion of methamphetamine possession.

Brad Lee Witherell, 37, of Sunny Valley, on suspicion of methamphetamine possession, driving under the influence of intoxicants, recklessly endangering another person and a parole violation.

Santana Pablo Villarreal, 19, of Roseburg, on suspicion of conspiracy to commit a Class A felony and conspiracy to commit a Class B felony.

Krista Josie Huffman, 24, of Roseburg, on suspicion of methamphetamine possession and unlawful possession or concealment of firearms.
