DA: Three Local Juveniles May Have Made School Threats
Federal, state and local law enforcement agencies are investigating threats three juveniles who allegedly made against some local schools.
Luzerne County District Attorney Stefanie Salavantis said in a news release that investigators have approached the juveniles who are under investigation, and those individuals have not been allowed near the schools.
“Every conceivable precaution is being taken to ensure public safety,” Salavantis said.
Because the investigation involves juveniles and because the case is still pending, Salavantis said her office cannot provide further comment.
However, additional information will be made public if and when it becomes available, she said.
It’s likely that at least one of the schools is in Lehman Township, as the Lehman Township Police Department is one of the investigating agencies. The others, in addition to the district attorney’s office, are Pennsylvania State Police and the FBI.
