Trivia Night

CHELMSFORD -- The Friends of Nashoba are hosting the third annual Trivia Night on Friday, March 1, at Chelmsford Elks to benefit scholarships and technical grants for Nashoba Valley Technical High School seniors graduating this June.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and Trivia Night will run from 7:30 to 10:30. Tickets are $20, which includes dinner. There will also be raffles and prizes. Trivia Night is for those 21 and older.

Chelmsford Elks is at 300 Littleton Road.


Town Meeting reps needed

BILLERICA -- Town Meeting has over 100 representative vacancies with openings in all eleven precincts.


Residents can pick up nomination papers at the Town Clerk’s office during normal business hours until 7 p.m. on Feb. 11.


Community Service Awards

BILLERICA -- Nominations are open for the Community Service Award, formerly known as the Senior of the Year.

The award is granted to residents over 60-years-old who have made “outstanding long-term contributions” to the town, the Billerica Council on Aging or the Friends of the Billerica Council on Aging.

Nomination forms are available for pick-up at the Council on Aging and are due by March 30.

Council on Aging staff and members of the 2019 Community Service Award Event Planning/Steering Committee are not eligible.

The Council on Aging and Friends of the Council on Aging will announce the winner and nominees before the award night on May 3.


Lowell Democrats to meet

LOWELL -- The Lowell Democratic City Committee will meet Monday, Feb. 11, starting at 7 p.m., at the East End Club, 15 W. Fourth St.

Community Resource Fair

LOWELL -- The Lowell Public Schools Early Childhood Department will hold a Community Resource Fair on Wednesday, Feb. 13.

The event is from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Family Resource Center at 151 Merrimack St.

Parents can meet staff from Lowell Public Schools, local childcare and education programs. The event will also provide information about summer and after school programs, kindergarten and pre-kindergarten.


Bullying prevention

PELHAM, N.H. -- The Pelham School District is hosting a presentation on bullying, cyberbullying and social media education and prevention on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Pelham High School auditorium.

This informative session will be presented by Elizabeth Englander, founder and executive director of the Massachusetts Aggression Reduction Center at Bridgewater University.

School Resource Officer Brian Kelly will be at the presentation and available for questions after the event. Kelly helps the schools with bullying response and any other issues that arise during the course of the school day.
