Beaver Dam Police Beat: March 7-10, 2019

Disorderly conduct — At 9:11 a.m. Thursday, North Plaza Laundry, multiple officers responded to a report of a juvenile who was physically and verbally out of control at Prairie View Elementary School, 510 N. Crystal Lake Road. The juvenile was detained and taken to a psychiatric care facility, with charges of disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property to follow.

Neighbor dispute — At 11:20 a.m. Thursday, a woman in the 100 block of Haskell Street reported that her neighbor was damaging her fence. The neighbor was cited for criminal damage to property.

Disorderly conduct — At 11:35 a.m. Thursday, police received a report that a man at the Beaver Dam Public Library, 311 N. Spring St., was approaching people and making them upset. He was banned from the library until March 15, when he would be advised of his status after that.

Suspicious behavior — At 6:03 p.m. Thursday, a woman reported a black SUV parked at Roller Park and that a lot of short-term traffic came up to the SUV then left. Police did a traffic stop with two vehicles. One person was cited for possessing drug paraphernalia. Another was cited for marijuana possession. Their parents were notified.

Theft — At 9:13 p.m. Thursday, a woman reported her red clutch wallet with smiley stickers was stolen from Taco Bell, 1739 N. Spring St.

Family trouble — At 6:15 p.m. Friday, a woman in the 200 block of Francis Court reported that a man there was out of control. An officer made contact with the man and counseled him.

Domestic disturbance — At 1:42 a.m. Saturday, an officer came across a domestic disturbance between a man and a woman in progress in the 100 block of East Third Street. The woman was taken to jail for domestic disorderly conduct.

Burglary — At 10:25 a.m. Saturday, a caller reported that a man took items from a home in the 800 block of North Center Street.

Neighbor dispute — At 2:49 p.m. Saturday, a man reported his neighbor threw cans onto his property and swore.

Disorderly conduct — At 3:49 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to the hospital, 707 University Ave., about a subject who was out of control.

Missing juvenile — At 12:27 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a report of a missing juvenile from Adams County in the area of the library, 311 N. Spring St. A girl was detained. A boy took off on foot but was later detained as well. They were taken to the police station.

Fight — At 3:59 a.m. Sunday, a man reported that a man was threatening to beat him up and hit a woman in the 100 block of Park Avenue. The suspect was taken to jail on a Beaver Dam warrant, disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property and battery.

Neighbor dispute — At 5:25 p.m. Sunday, a woman reported her neighbor broke in with a gun. Police made contact and found there was no gun. The issue was between the woman allegedly shorting the man on change when selling him cigarettes.

Theft — At 6:38 p.m. Sunday, a woman reported a man stole phones and money and that she couldn’t find him. The owners did not want to press charges. Police could not locate a suspect.
