Reeseville pig barn fire quickly put out
REESEVILLE -- A pig barn caught fire early Wednesday afternoon at a farm in Reeseville, but no animals were lost as emergency crews quickly quelled the blaze.
The Reeseville Fire Department was dispatched at 12:28 p.m. to N2600 North Kohn Road.
Upon arrival, firefighters witnessed moderate smoke coming out of the barn’s roof vents. Fire crews held the fire to the interior feed room and ceiling and were on the scene for nearly two hours. None of the pigs died as a result of the fire and no firefighters were injured during the call.
Clyman, Lowell, Hustisford, Watertown, Waterloo, Beaver Dam, Marshall, Columbus fire departments, We Energies and the Dodge County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.
