Teen Suicide Roundtable Set
LOWELL -- The Sun will host a special live roundtable discussion on teen suicide, its causes and warning signs, on Thursday morning.
The discussion follows Sunday’s story about Lowell High School student Anna Aslanian, who in October made the decision to take her life.
* Caitlin Caruso, a suicide survivor who speaks about her struggles to others who suffer from trauma and mental health challenges.
* David Crump, youthworker in residence at Lowell-based UTEC, who has a background in trauma-related issues.
* Debbie Helms, director of Samaritans of Merrimack Valley for the past 14 years.
* Denise Peaslee, a Chelmsford-based licensed mental health counselor who owns Greater Lowell Personal Development Center.
The panel will be moderated by Sun Enterprise Editor Christopher Scott.
How to watch: The panel, which begins at 10 a.m., will be livestreamed on sentinelandenterprise.com and on Boston Herald radio.
