State Rep. Lytton won’t seek re-election

March 17, 2018

State Rep. Kristine Lytton, D-Anacortes, will not seek re-election.

“I came to Olympia to expand opportunities for students, support our hardworking teachers, and fully fund education,” she said in an update on her website. “This year, after years of bipartisan effort, we finally crossed that finish line.”

Lytton was elected to represent the 40th Legislative District in 2010 and will be completing her fourth term in office this year.

The 40th Legislative District includes northwest Skagit County — including Anacortes — southwest Whatcom County and San Juan County.

Lytton plans to spend more time with her family, according to the update.
