The best of the best on social media from RNC Day 4 (photos, video)

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The 2016 Republican National Convention came to a close Thursday night, and here are the highlights of the best of the best on social media nationally.

A student from the College of Wooster found an earring that looked a lot like one Ivanka Trump was wearing Wednesday night and tweeted a photo Thursday morning in an attempt to #GetIvankaHerEarringBack.

@IvankaTrump Your earring is beautiful, but it’s not mine to keep. How can I return it? pic.twitter.com/fkQtgBhi52

Luckily, it worked.

Thank you for helping us get the earring back to its owner! Only trying to be honest and kind here, life is good :) pic.twitter.com/LwGtndCHJa

Police officers got to work out and stretch on E. 4th Street before their last big day.

Officers were even able to bridge an age-old Midwestern divide.

Before Donald Trump gave his acceptance speech, he began his mic check with some sarcastic humor.

“I love the media,” @realDonaldTrump says during a mic check in the convention hall. “They’re so honest.“https://t.co/7yF1oZx5jr

Protests filled the streets of downtown, with some activists demonstrating more seriously than others.

Far from Cleveland, President Barack Obama quelled cheers of “Four more years!” by explaining that his wife Michelle wouldn’t be happy about spending more time in the White House.

Some delegates went all-out with their outfits for the last day of the convention.

They also enjoyed a dance party at the beginning of the night.
