FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) _ Steve Pelluer threw three touchdown passes Saturday, the last to Gary Harrell with 1:41 to play, to give the Frankfurt Galaxy a 24-21 WLAF victory over the Barcelona Dragons.

Harrell, allocated from the New York Giants, made a diving one-handed catch in the left corner of the end zone for the 10-yard touchdown.

The Dragons had taken a 21-17 lead 41 seconds earlier when Chris Crooms returned a blocked punt 12 yards for a touchdown.

The victory before a crowd of 33,115 ended a four-game losing streak for Frankfurt (5-4), the defending World Bowl champions. The Galaxy will seal another World Bowl berth if they beat the Admirals in Amsterdam in next week’s season finale.

The Dragons (4-5) took a 14-0 lead on the first two plays of the game.

On the game’s first play, Barcelona quarterback Kelly Helcomb hooked up with wide receiver Alphonzo Browning for a 57-yard touchdown. On the next play, Galaxy fullback Wes Bender fumbled on a screen pass after being hit by two Dragons. Crooms then ran it back 35 yards to put Barcelona ahead 14-0.

Pelluer, a former member of the Dallas Cowboys, also connected with Mario Bailey on a 35-yard touchdown pass and with Ed Smith for a 3-yard score that tied it 14-14 in the third quarter.
