2 injured in house fire in Worcester
WORCESTER, Vt. (AP) — Two people have been injured in a house fire in Worcester.
Vermont State Police say they were notified of an explosion and house fire on Sunday around 10:30 a.m. Firefighters were on the scene when police arrived and the house was a total loss.
Police say two people who were inside the home when it caught fire were being treated for burn injuries at Central Vermont Hospital. Police say one was treated and released and the other was transferred to the burn unit at the University of Vermont Medical Center for further treatment and evaluation.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
