Man fires shots, drives into deputy after being asked to leave Goldsboro club
A Goldsboro man is facing a long list of criminal charges after a night out went wrong.
At about 2 a.m., Di’Twan Shyheim Davis, 23, was asked to leave Morgans nightclub because of his role in a fight inside, according to police.
In the parking lot, Davis pulls a handgun from his trunk and fired several shots before getting into his vehicle. As he drove away, Davis hit a Wayne County sheriff’s deputy and another man. He sped out of the lot, police said, then struck a telephone pole at the intersection of East Ash and Durant streets.
The man Davis hit, 24-year-old Devonte Duprel Jamaal Harris, of Goldsboro, was airlifted to Vidant Health in Greenville. Davis and the deputy were both treated for injuries at Wayne UNC Health and released.
