January 11, 2018

Liam Neeson action, Steven Spielberg and friends and the cutest bear in films are among the stars on big-screens this weekend.

‘The Commuter’

Liam Neeson plays a man on his daily commute caught up in a criminal conspiracy/mystery, and yes, it looks a lot like “Non-Stop” meets “Unknown.”

‘The Post’

One of the year’s most anticipated films for adults is Steven Spielberg’s story of the Washington Post’s publishing of the Pentagon Papers in 1971, exposing government cover-ups. Starring Meryl Streep stars as Katharine Graham and Tom Hanks is Ben Bradlee.

‘Paddington 2’

Mystery and marmalade. The little bear is back with the Brown family, and someone has stolen his gift for his aunt’s 100th birthday. The search is on.

‘Proud Mary’

Taraji P. Henson is Mary, an organized crime family’s hit woman, whose life is turned upside down when she encouters a young boy after a job-gone-bad.
