Lee Janzen heads list of six more players to commit to American Family Championship
The field for the 2018 American Family Championship continues to take shape with the addition of six more commitments for the PGA Tour Champions event.
Two-time U.S. Open champion Lee Janzen heads the list of commitments announced Tuesday for the June 22-24 tournament at University Ridge Golf Course. Janzen owns eight PGA Tour titles and one Champions victory and has had two top-five finishes this year.
Others who committed are Billy Andrade, Scott McCarron, Kevin Sutherland, Rocco Mediate and Kenny Perry.
Andrade is a three-time Champions tour winner, as well as a four-time winner on the PGA Tour. He has four top-10 finishes this year.
McCarron had his best season in 2017, winning four times and finishing in the top-10 in 14 events. He has six Champions titles to go along with three PGA Tour wins.
Sutherland, who won the 2017 Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs, had 15 top-10 finishes last year, including three second places and two thirds. He is the only player to shoot a 59 on the Champions tour.
Mediate has won three times on the Champions tour, including the 2016 Senior PGA Championship. He is a six-time PGA Tour winner and most famously finished second to Tiger Woods in a playoff at the 2008 U.S. Open.
Perry is a nine-time winner on the Champions circuit, the most recent being in the 2017 U.S. Senior Open. He owns 14 PGA Tour titles, including the 2003 Greater Milwaukee Open.
