Jags place WR Greene on IR, promote Wynn from practice squad

December 3, 2016

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — The Jacksonville Jaguars have placed receiver Rashad Greene on injured reserve with an Achilles injury.

The Jaguars (2-9) promoted receiver Shane Wynn from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. Wynn gives Jacksonville five healthy receivers heading into Sunday’s home game against Denver (7-4). Allen Hurns (hamstring) already has been ruled out against the Broncos, leaving Allen Robinson, Marqise Lee, Arrelious Been, Bryan Walters and now Wynn to handle the position.

The 5-foot-6 Wynn originally signed with Atlanta as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2015. He spent time with Cleveland, the New York Jets, San Diego and New Orleans last year before ending up in Jacksonville. He spent the first 12 weeks of the season on the Jaguars’ practice squad.
