Machine Gun Kelly lands role as Tommy Lee in Motley Crue biopic

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Machine Gun Kelly has been hyping the announcement of a major film role for the past week or so on social media. As it turns out, his excitement was warranted.

Variety reports MGK will play drummer Tommy Lee in a Netflix biopic about rock band Motley Crue. The film is based on the band’s 2001 memoir “The Dirt” (an amazing read) with the film co-produced by the bandmembers.

Jeff Tremaine (who directed the “Jackass” movies, if you remember those) will lead the project, which has been talked about off and on for quite some time.
