Shots fired near Boston pool during funeral service
BOSTON (AP) — Authorities say shots were fired during a funeral service near a Boston city pool.
Police were called to the Melnea A. Cass Recreational Complex in Roxbury Monday afternoon.
The incident happened shortly before Mayor Marty Walsh, police and local clergy met to discuss the recent rise in violence. Walsh says 10 shots were fired.
Family members say the procession was for 20-year-old Angel Oller, who was shot and killed in Roxbury last week.
A witness says he saw two men firing shots while standing in an intersection.
Police say no one was injured.
