#9. Oakland Athletics: OF Chris Coghlan
2016 WAR: -1.5Coghlan had a roller coaster of a 2016 season. He started the year in Oakland and was awful, hitting .146/.215/.272 in 51 games before getting traded in June to the Cubs. In 48 games with Chicago, the former National League Rookie of the Year was worth 1.0 WAR and hit .251/.391/.388 while playing four different positions. Coghlan went 0-for-7 in the postseason but was on the Cubs’ roster for all three rounds, getting himself a World Series ring in the process. The A’s are probably wondering where that type of production was earlier in the season, but Coghlan likely wouldn’t change a thing about how his 2016 season went.
