Platteville man arrested for alleged drunken driving in Reedsburg crash that injured 4

Four people were injured Wednesday in a two-vehicle crash in Reedsburg, when an alleged drunken driver ran a red light and crashed into the other vehicle.

John Wills, 41, of Platteville, was taken to the Sauk County Jail and tentatively charged with causing injury by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle, Reedsburg police said.

The crash happened at about 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of East Main Street and Viking Drive.

Police said Wills was westbound on East Main Street when he failed to stop at the red light and hit a vehicle turning onto Main from Viking Drive.

The four injured were in the struck vehicle, including the driver, Todd Klitzke, 43, Angela Klitzke, 39, Colby Klitzke, 5 and Cadaance Klitzke, 4, all of Reedsburg.

All four were wearing seat belts and their injuries were non-life-threatening. They were taken to Reedsburg Area Medical Center.
