Sleep Number: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) _ Sleep Number Corp. (SNBR) on Thursday reported second-quarter profit of $4.3 million.
The Minneapolis-based company said it had profit of 14 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for pretax gains, came to 10 cents per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 3 cents per share.
The seller of beds, mattresses and bedding products posted revenue of $356 million in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $337.1 million.
Sleep Number expects full-year earnings in the range of $2.35 to $2.75 per share.
Sleep Number shares have risen 31% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $41.72, a rise of 35% in the last 12 months.
