Sun today, rain possible Friday for Cleveland Indians, Seattle Mariners games at Progressive Field

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Tribe fans with tickets to tonight’s Indians game against the Seattle Mariners at Progressive Field, bring the sunglasses. Those planning to head to the Friday game, you may want to bring the rain gear – and maybe a little bit of hope.

Tonight’s Tribe game kicks off at 6:10 p.m., right when temperatures in downtown Cleveland will hit the mid 50s. With ample sun, that will feel nice and pleasant. Especially with calm winds, too. A few innings later, around 9 p.m., things will cool to the low 50s, and with the sun setting at 8:19 p.m., that could feel slightly chilly.

But at least the game will be dry.

Friday’s isn’t so lucky.

Tribe fans attending the first weekend game at 7:10 p.m. might want to bring the Tribe poncho. Rain chances sit around 50 percent through all nine innings, meaning it’s likely to have at least one passing shower. Thankfully, they look very light, so maybe the Indians will pull what they did Tuesday and play through the light rain and drizzle. Temperature wise, the game will start in the upper 50s, but by 10 p.m., will reach the upper 40s. So make sure to dress warmly.

Friday’s forecast will be updated that morning with any changes. The forecast for the Indians, Mariners Saturday and Sunday games will be published Friday.
