Riverside Medical Group adds doctor
Riverside Healthcare recently announced Dr. Shiva Shashidharan, a cardiologist, is accepting patients at the Riverside Heart & Vascular Institute, Cardiology Specialists at 500 N. Wall St. in Kankakee.
Shashidharan completed his bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery at Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Sciences in Bellary, India. He then continued his training through an internal medicine residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh and completed a fellowship in cardiology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria.
Shashidaran is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He also is board-certified in echocardiography through the American Society of Echocardiography and in nuclear cardiology by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology.

Farm bureau hosting succession seminar
Ford-Iroquois Farm Bureau is hosting a succession planning seminar at 6 p.m. on Wednesday in the Farm Bureau building in Gilman.
The featured speaker at the meeting, which begins with a meal, will be Rick Morgan, who is a senior financial security consultant at Country Financial. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois and Drake University Law School.
A balancing act sometimes must be done between the family members involved in the farm and those who are not involved. There are several different strategies that can be evaluated and within those, several different funding options.
