February 28, 2019

Members of the GHS Korean Club brought a sample of South Korean music and dance to the GHS student center Thursday morning with a lively and energetic K-pop dance routine.

GHS freshmen Esther Sha, Alicia Tang, Sophia Huaman, and Phebe Fabacher performed under the name “Carbon Dioxide Crush” for the Diversity Awareness Week event.

The troupe danced to a mashup of nine K-pop songs as students gathered around to watch and cheer them on.

Korean pop, familiarly known as K-pop, is a musical style that originated in South Korea but has recently gained popularity in the United States.
