Mary E. Carroll -- Rochester

Mary E. Carroll, 71, of Rochester, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, from a brief illness at the Shalom Home in Rochester.

Mary was born Jan. 20, 1947, in Rochester to Arthur and Elizabeth (Feist) Carroll.

She is survived by her six brothers and sisters, Alan (Linda) Carroll and Patricia (James) Haley, both of Plainview, Annette (Pete) Juers of Millville, and Mark (Shiela) Carroll, Jeanne (Bruce) Carson, and Nancy Carroll, all of Rochester. Mary is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; and her nephew, Chad Blazing.

Mary enjoyed drawing, was an avid reader, loved to read the Bible and collect prayers. Mary also liked doing crossword puzzles and drinking diet Dr. Pepper. She had three shows she enjoyed equally, and they were “Mother Angelica” on EWTN, “Judge Judy,” and reruns of “Little House on The Prairie.”

The memorial Mass for Mary will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home, with the Rev. Shawn Haremza officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service Tuesday at the funeral home.

The family prefers memorials to Ability Building Center in Rochester.
